![]() Altar GuildChair: JoAnn McCann Purpose: To provide the vital elements to the enhancement of worship, and to prepare the altar for all services. Members of Altar Guild are responsible for the behind-the-scenes preparation of all worship services, which include the Sunday Services, The Wednesday Healing Service, and all special days during the liturgical year. A member of the Guild is also in attendance at weddings, funerals and Holy Baptisms. In addition to the preparation of God’s Table, Altar Guild is responsible for ordering supplies, such as candles, wafers, wine and other necessities. They also wash, iron, and replace linens as needed. Brass and silver are polished and the Sacristy is kept in good order. The Altar Guild consists of 5 teams, each responsible for a specific week each month. Each team may divide the duties as they see fit. Associated with the Altar Guild is the Bread Guild, which is responsible for providing the Eucharist Bread for all services, and the Flower Guild, which provides floral arrangements to adorn the altar and church throughout the year. This ministry welcomes new members all year. Working on a team not only provides a wonderful opportunity to serve Our Lord, but it also is a great way to form new friendships.
