Partnering with Our Community

Grace-Calvary supports many community ministries financially through our budgeted giving.  Members of Grace-Calvary also volunteer with numerous helping agencies in our community.

Sharing & Caring

Sharing and Caring is an ecumenical, cooperative Christian Ministry of concern and services to meet the needs of the poor, the hungry, the abused, the oppressed and those who have none to care for them in Habersham County. The organization is totally staffed by volunteers who operate two thrift stores which help generate funds to help those in our community.

Northeast Georgia Locally Grown

WHAT WE DO We are a farmers market that operates a little differently than most! Every week, and all year long, we connect you with local food from dozens of small farms within 80 miles committed to chemical-free growing practices. Farmers get to network with one another every week and provide YOU with exactly what you want in the amounts that you want. No minimum order amounts, no huge payments upfront, and no middle man. We simply hand you the products you commit to purchasing from farmers and allow you to write one check instead of multiple. We hope you will enjoy this pretty nifty system which promotes local and sustainable practices all year long! See our FAQ page

Building Homes

Habitat for Humanity

The Habitat program is about helping people find opportunity, stability, and improve their future. Our program is not a hand out, it’s a hand up. It requires investment, hard work, learning, and sweat equity yet our homeowner’s will tell you…it’s worth it! Our Partner Families work hard to become Habitat homeowners, building alongside volunteers from the community to construct their own home. Partnering on building their home, they are empowered to build a better future for themselves, their children, and many generations to come. A home is a strong foundation on which the families who partner with Habitat can grow and thrive.
