Paula Gibson is a lifelong musician. She has served as an educator in Habersham County schools with most of her career teaching chorus and drama to middle school children at North Habersham. She has also served in church ministry since she was a pre-teen, helping with children’s church and playing the piano and organ at various churches. In 2004 she landed at Clarkesville First UMC where she was first the accompanist, then the director of music and worship arts. This was followed in 2024-25 with a short stint as music director at Grace UMC which then merged with Cornelia UMC in February of 2025. At that time, she began her ministry at Cornelia UMC in Fresh Expressions, a form of community outreach that is patterned to take Christ to the community in various ways, such as her favorite, art! Paula is excited to come back to her first love, music, and to begin a new ministry of service at Grace-Calvary Episcopal Church (with a dash of art!).
